Chapel

Weekly chapel is designed to give students an opportunity to examine biblical principles and Christian character in a practical and culturally sensitive manner. The chapel structure consists of an hour-long program commencing with student-led prayer, school pledges and praise & worship.

WCA hosts a variety of chapel speakers such as national youth leaders, world missionaries, local government leaders and WCA faculty members. The invited speakers have a desire to present their Christian values based on full-time ministry life, secular careers, and personal experience. Topics are presented from a Christian perspective while challenging the students to make practical biblical application to their personal lives. During chapel, students are encouraged to share their gifts through music, interpretive dance, drama, public speaking, and personal testimonies.

The Upper School hosts Spiritual Emphasis Week each Spring. It consists of a week-long chapel program with daily, morning and afternoon activities focused on Scripture, Worship, Christian character, and practical application of the same. Various activities include community service projects, movies and field trips. Activities are designed to challenge the students to “Prove what the will of God is; that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect." (Romans 12:1-2)

It is the goal of the WCA staff to mentor and disciple students to grow in their defense of the Gospel message, be prepared to make difficult life decisions and positively impact this ever-challenging world for Christ. To God be the glory . . .
